Faith Church: A United Methodist Congregation in Genoa, Illinois

Open hearts. Open minds. Open doors

The Kishwaukee North Cluster of United Methodist Congregations is composed of the congregations in Genoa, Herbert, Kingston, and Kirkland. As part of the Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church's Harvest 2020 initiative, the Kishwaukee North Cluster is committed to:

  • FORMATION OF COVENANT COMMUNITY SUPPORT

A leadership model will be utilized to engage clergy and laity as a way to build trust, express our common vision, share ministry ideas and vision, and create an environment of support and accountability.

  • ACTIVE COMMUNITY LISTENING & OUTREACH MINISTRY

The agenda of each cluster will include John Wesley’s call to social holiness. Clusters will dialogue and learn together about crucial social issues facing the community and the world. They will also actively respond to those social dilemmas facing their community.

  • PARTNERSHIPS FOR NEW FAITH COMMUNITY PLANTING

Churches will band together in clusters to share vision and resources in order to plant and support new faith communities in their region. Clusters should prayerfully consider the needs of their neighborhoods and consider how they might join together in meeting those needs.
